"The hospitality of the women owning the place is fabulous. Unfortunately she only speaks Greek. Nonethless her daughter, who both speaks German and English is always readily available on the phone. Also the people in town are very friendly."

The traditional stone-built House of the Strato's Family is situated near the centre of the picturesque village of Kalavasos, close to the village square,restaurants and coffee shops. It has maintained it's original character for the last 300 years.
Stratos was born around 1865 and he was one of the first school teachers in the whole of Cyprus. He spent much of his time studing. He was a very hospitable person and Strato's House has always been a place to entertain guests and visitors.
As you stroll across the stone-paved square towards the narrow streets, look out for number 16, and you will face a large front door, where Mrs Panayiota, granddaughter of Stratos stands at the doorstep to welcome you. Inside the beautiful courtyard with its two traditional arches is decorated with a large clay vessel which goes back a long way. Three doors lead to the different appartment-suite rooms. Directions to Stratos House
From Larnaka Airport:
Take the motorway and follow the signs to Limassol. After about 30 minutes drive, you'll find the sign towards Kalavasos. Once you turn off the motorway, you'll find a crossroad, turn left pass the petrol station and after you pass the bridge turn left again and follow the road on the right side that takes you to Kalavasos. Be careful no to miss the sign to kalavasos on your right side , otherwise you'll end up on the motorway again. Kalavasos in Greek is written like this: ÊÁËÁÂÁÓÏÓ

From Paphos Airport:
After you leave the airport to the motorway follow the signs towards Larnaka-Nicosia. It takes about an hour to reach Kalavasos. Go over the round-abouts through Limassol and Keep follow the signs for Larnaka - Nicosia until you find the sign to Kalavasos which is at Junction 15 and turn left.
